While one of the largest annual Autumn Exhibition, Høstutstillingen opened with great fanfare in the city centre, the exhibition ØSTUTSTILLINGEN 2025 was officially launched at Romsås. The exhibition, which includes only artists with ties to Groruddalen, was met with tremendous interest and marked the beginning of something entirely new for Oslo’s outer districts.

An exhibition with remarkable range

The exhibition presents everything from painting, photography, video art, and embroidery to poetry, jacquard weaving, and sound works. The youngest artist is only 18 years old and grew up in Bjerke.

“This is not just an art exhibition; it is also a way of highlighting the many voices that make up Oslo’s cultural diversity. As Don Martin writes: ‘So many voices that together become Oslo’s voice,” quoted Gulaker Hansen.

GalleryLab has established itself at Romsås as a centre for artistic activity and aims to be an arena for both local and central contributors.
